Senior Product Designer, Verifications

Location: Denver, Colorado, United States, or San Francisco, California, United States. The role requires working from a hirify.global office 3+ days per week. A relocation stipend may be available for relocation to a hirify.global hub.

Salary: $169,000–$199,000 USD for San Francisco, CA; $143,000–$168,000 USD for Denver, CO.

What you will do

• Own design for Verifications products across candidate, employer, and internal operational experiences from discovery through launch and iteration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to define problems, shape roadmaps, and deliver solutions aligned with user needs and business outcomes.
• Simplify verification requests, document collection, consent and authorization, appointment scheduling, status visibility, and exception handling.
• Use AI-assisted design and development tools to prototype, validate, and implement lightweight UI improvements when appropriate.
• Design transparent, accessible, and confidence-building experiences for sensitive and regulated workflows.
• Facilitate workshops and design reviews, produce engineering-ready specifications, and contribute to design systems and standards.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of product design experience or equivalent, with a record of shipping high-quality work.
• Portfolio demonstrating problem framing, exploration, rationale, collaboration, iteration, and measurable impact.
• Ability to simplify complex domains and edge cases into clear, usable flows.
• Strong product judgment across user needs, business goals, technical constraints, and timelines.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration, lightweight user research, interaction design, content clarity, information hierarchy, and accessibility.
• Ability to work from a hirify.global office at least 3 days per week in Denver or San Francisco.

Nice to have

• Experience in background screening, HR tech, healthcare, identity, compliance-heavy, or other regulated domains.
• Experience designing B2B or B2B2C products for operations teams or external partners.
• Familiarity with design systems, documentation, scalable components, secure data, consent, and privacy-forward experiences.
