TL;DR
Applications Developer (MEAN/MERN): Maintaining and enhancing existing applications while developing back-end services and APIs with an accent on Python, Node.js, database optimization, and application reliability. Focus on designing RESTful APIs, optimizing PostgreSQL queries, collaborating across QA and DevOps, and improving performance in a hybrid Mexico City environment.
Location: Mexico City, Mexico; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do
- Maintain, enhance, and support existing MEAN or MERN stack applications.
- Develop and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using Python and Node.js.
- Design, develop, and optimize PostgreSQL databases, queries, and data integrity processes.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and front-end developers to deliver reliable solutions.
- Document application changes, processes, and procedures.
- Monitor application performance and implement improvements.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience with the MEAN or MERN stack.
- Strong proficiency in Python for back-end development.
- Experience with PostgreSQL database design, development, and optimization.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
- Familiarity with Git, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Advanced English is required. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required, or equivalent work experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Docker and other containerization technologies.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
