DevOps Engineer (AWS)

Location: United States; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

Salary: $90,000–$115,000 base salary per year, plus performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes with CDK, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Implement cloud security controls to protect data and applications.
• Optimize AWS services for performance and cost efficiency.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, and audits.
• Collaborate with development, IT, and operations teams on scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of hands-on DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Strong AWS experience, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS, and VPC.
• Proficiency in Python or Bash, CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and container platforms such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employer-sponsored work authorization is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or CISSP certification.
• Experience with Chef or Puppet.
• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
