Responsible AI Lead Applied Scientist (GenAI)

What you will do

• Provide Responsible AI expertise to AI and GenAI product teams, including independent product risk assessments and evaluations.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve testing and evaluation frameworks for AI products.
• Support risk assessment and testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Train and mentor technical teams on GenAI testing and evaluation approaches.
• Track emerging Responsible AI frameworks, standards, regulations, and technical methods.
• Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, security, executive, and Responsible AI stakeholders.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in Responsible AI with direct engagement with AI product teams.
• 3+ years of industry experience building or evaluating Generative AI models.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent research or work experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks including PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Research experience in empirical evaluation, experimental design, or benchmarking, including advanced statistical methods.
• Knowledge of Responsible AI issues, frameworks, best practices, and emerging AI regulatory and legal frameworks.

Nice to have

• Experience with quantitative social science research.
• Familiarity with unit testing, CI/CD, cloud platforms, or SQL databases.
• Knowledge of AI risk management frameworks such as NIST AI RMF.
• Experience with IDEs, environment management tools, Docker, and open-source GenAI evaluations.
