Machine Operator - Auto Punch Press Operator

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri, United States of America; onsite

Salary: $22.70–$28.59 per hour, with a shift premium for second and third shifts.

What you will do

• Operate auto punch press equipment and verify safety mechanisms, press release forms, and emergency stops before each production run.
• Inspect incoming materials and finished parts for defects, specification compliance, flatness, and alignment with blueprints and work orders.
• Feed materials through straighteners and feeders, monitor lubrication systems, and maintain loop conveyor operations.
• Shut down equipment correctly at the end of each run and complete required production documentation.
• Identify non-conforming material and promptly report injuries, accidents, and near misses.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of industry-related experience.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and operate hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, chain hoists, pneumatic tools, and press controls.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, work orders, inventory tags, and written and verbal instructions, including basic mathematics.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining production pace.
• Availability for scheduled overtime, weekends, and short-notice calls, with reliable attendance.
• Commitment to safety policies and correct use of PPE, including safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and cut-resistant gloves.
