Global IT Director - Principal Security Engineer

What you will do

• Own end-to-end technical delivery of IAM services covering identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, SSO, and privileged access controls.
• Design and implement IAM integrations across SaaS, on-premise, and AWS, Azure, and GCP cloud environments using federation, MFA, and passwordless capabilities.
• Lead complex IAM engineering escalations, root-cause analysis, platform hardening, security assessments, threat modeling, red teaming, and cloud security reviews.
• Define IAM engineering standards, reference architectures, onboarding patterns, and automated provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
• Partner with architecture, infrastructure, application, HR, IT, and executive stakeholders to align security initiatives with enterprise strategy, compliance obligations, and risk appetite.
• Lead large-scale security programs and mentor senior security engineers, analysts, and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in information security or infrastructure engineering, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with core IAM platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, CyberArk, Okta, SailPoint, Veza, and cloud identity across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Experience designing IAM solutions in hybrid multi-cloud environments, including provisioning automation, access reviews, and RBAC/ABAC models.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, Java, or another scripting or programming language for automation and custom IAM connectors.
• Experience leading large-scale IAM programs and serving as a technical lead or architect while mentoring teams and influencing technology roadmaps.
• Strong communication, ownership, systems thinking, and ability to balance security, usability, operational efficiency, and measurable risk reduction.

Nice to have

• Experience with passwordless authentication, passkeys, adaptive MFA, and AI-driven access orchestration.
• Experience integrating agentic AI tools for intelligent decisioning, policy enforcement, and autonomous identity lifecycle operations.
• Experience with Terraform, Codex, or Claude for automation.
