Graduate Trainee Account Manager (Insurance)

Location: Marsh UK hybrid work arrangement; colleagues are expected to work in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

What you will do

• Support the day-to-day administration and accurate processing of Casualty risks under delegated facility arrangements.
• Act as a first point of contact for brokers and designated clients, following up on correspondence and supporting account relationships.
• Prepare electronic submissions and facilitate risk placement through Marsh’s Whitespace platform.
• Support delegated authority audits, compliance activities, training for broker colleagues, and performance reporting.
• Research client businesses, provide relevant analysis, and present facility performance information to Facility Insurers.
• Support senior account managers with complex accounts, larger initiatives, escalated issues, and ad hoc requests.

Requirements

• Degree educated with a minimum 2:1 or equivalent.
• Genuine interest in beginning a career in the insurance industry.
• Strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, and customer service skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a methodical approach to managing priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with stakeholders at different levels.
• Ability to work in the required hybrid arrangement, with at least three days per week in the local office or onsite with clients.

Nice to have

• Interest in the Casualty insurance market.
• Previous exposure to insurance, broking, underwriting, or client service through work experience, internships, or placements.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence presenting information.
