L3 Network & Security Operations Engineer (F5/AWS)

Location: Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office, with the remaining time working from home.

What you will do

• Provide L3 escalation support for major network incidents, leading technical triage, restoration, and stakeholder communication.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and implement F5 Distributed Cloud and AWS Elastic Load Balancing services, including ALB and NLB.
• Manage TLS/SSL enablement, certificate installation, chain management, renewal, rotation, and end-to-end validation across load balancers, firewalls, and WAFs.
• Support SD-WAN, WAN, branch connectivity, routing, carrier issues, and branch LAN/WLAN environments.
• Deliver network changes through ITIL-aligned planning, risk assessment, validation, rollback readiness, and ITSM documentation.
• Support legacy F5 BIG-IP services and contribute to security operations capabilities including firewalls, WAFs, cloud security controls, Zero Trust, and microsegmentation.

Requirements

• Senior L3 Network Operations experience in a NOC or operations environment.
• Strong L2–L7 troubleshooting skills, including TCP/TLS and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Hands-on experience with F5 Distributed Cloud and/or AWS ALB/NLB.
• Experience deploying and managing CA-provided certificates, including installation, chain management, binding, renewal, rotation, and validation.
• Strong Cisco multilayer switching skills covering VLANs, SVIs, routing, and high availability.
• Experience troubleshooting WAN and branch connectivity, working with carriers and vendors, and following ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM or migration to cloud and distributed load-balancing platforms.
• Firewall and WAF implementation experience, especially involving TLS termination or inspection.
• Experience with Prisma SD-WAN, Aviatrix, Aruba Central, or Juniper Mist.
• Scripting or automation experience with PowerShell or Python.
