Consultant - Risk Consulting (Climate & Sustainability)

Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, Australia; hybrid with at least three days per week in the office or onsite with clients

What you will do

• Support climate and sustainability risk consulting projects through data analysis and qualitative research.
• Translate analysis into strategic implications for clients across their climate and sustainability journeys.
• Manage smaller engagements from end to end and provide practical advice on methodologies and tools.
• Produce reports, numerical insights and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Contribute to proposal development and research emerging climate and sustainability trends.

Requirements

• Degree in business, environmental science, management, policy, engineering or a related field.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in sustainability, climate change or catastrophe analytics, in consulting or in-house.
• Experience with standards and frameworks including ASRS, IFRS/ISSB, ISO 14001, GHG Protocol, SBTi and TCFD.
• Ability to work with data and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Appropriate approval to work in Australia is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with large datasets, spatial data and GIS tools.
• Experience in natural catastrophe modelling or the insurance industry.
• Experience in sustainability-linked finance, climate risk or ASRS/IFRS reporting.
