Solution Design Consultant (AutoStore)

Location: Based in Sydney or Melbourne, Australia; intercontinental and APAC travel required

What you will do

• Support the sales process from acquisition through contract award and implementation handover.
• Conduct customer workshops and site visits to assess operational processes, logistics requirements, constraints, and growth plans.
• Analyse customer data, material flow, throughput, and capacity requirements to define solution design criteria.
• Develop intralogistics concepts incorporating AutoStore and complementary technologies such as robotics, conveyors, packaging machines, and AMRs.
• Prepare layouts, process flows, equipment specifications, technical proposals, and solution descriptions.
• Coordinate with customers, sales, software teams, AutoStore, suppliers, and external partners on technically and commercially viable solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, logistics engineering, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in solution design, systems engineering, consulting, or pre-sales within intralogistics or warehouse automation.
• Demonstrated experience designing automated warehouse or material-handling solutions.
• Strong understanding of material flow, logistics, warehouse processes, throughput, and capacity calculations.
• Proven portfolio of completed projects, advanced troubleshooting skills, and strong communication abilities.
• Willingness to travel intercontinentally and support projects across the APAC region.
