Generalist Junior Consultant and Consultants (Consulting)

Location: Canberra, Australia; work includes client-site assignments, interstate travel, and remote work on client sites.

What you will do

• Work on consulting cases addressing complex business, government, and societal challenges.
• Collaborate with case team members, clients, and colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to support recommendations and project decisions.
• As a Junior Consultant, support analysis and progressively take end-to-end responsibility for project workstreams.
• As a Consultant, manage larger and more complex project components, identify client issues, develop change strategies, and build consensus.
• Work across varying project lengths, sizes, and locations, including client sites and international assignments.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree and/or Master's, MBA, or PhD with outstanding academic performance.
• At least 3 years of consulting or industry experience with a record of achievement and high performance.
• Consultants typically have more than 5 years of full-time experience and a demonstrated career trajectory.
• Strong analytical and creative thinking, quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate complex ideas.
• Excellent communication and client relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel interstate and work remotely on client sites.

Nice to have

• Experience in mining, oil and gas, engineering, climate and sustainability, consumer products, private equity, public sector, banking and finance, law, healthcare, technology, or telecommunications.
• Flexible, curious, creative, self-driven, collaborative, and capable of exercising independent judgment.
