Principal Software Engineer (C/C++/Go)

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office

What you will do

• Develop organization-wide architectures and methodologies for software systems across multiple platforms and organizations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, innovations, and outsourced development relationships against technology roadmaps and business value.
• Plan the integration and modernization of technologies within product architectures.
• Review designs and project activities for compliance with development standards, improving product quality and reducing failure risk.
• Influence technical decisions with business leaders, development partners, and industry standards groups.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and provide technical leadership across significant projects and initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 15+ years of software development experience.
• Expertise in C, C++, and Go, including feature development and troubleshooting of high-scale multithreaded systems.
• Experience with software architecture, multi-platform integration, testing methodologies, debugging, and test automation tools.
• Experience with L3 networking datapaths, including IPv4, IPv6, MPLS, or SDN, is desirable.
• Mastery of English and the local language is required. Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed for architecture discussions and executive-level negotiations.
