Engagement Manager (Private Equity/Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Boston, Washington DC, New York, or Chicago. Hybrid work requires being in the local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week.

Base salary: $135,000–$240,000 per year, with possible performance-based incentives.

What you will do

• Support private equity clients throughout the deal transaction lifecycle, from opportunity identification through due diligence and post-transaction value realization.
• Apply industry and functional expertise to commercial aerospace and defense engagements.
• Lead or contribute to commercial and operational due diligence projects.
• Conduct customer research through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and related techniques.
• Develop strategic recommendations by analyzing complex challenges and large data sets.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary consulting teams and private equity clients.

Requirements

• Professional experience with commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm.
• Experience working across industries or within private equity.
• Strong strategic problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English required.
• Undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model from one of the specified U.S. locations or onsite with clients at least three days per week.
