Systems Software Engineer (Storage)

Location: Onsite at an HPE office in the United States; salary information covers Colorado and California.

Salary: USD 126,500–240,500 annual base salary in Colorado; USD 136,500–276,500 annual base salary in California. Variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, integrate, and deliver next-generation distributed storage platforms.
• Lead multiple project teams and coordinate internal and outsourced software development partners.
• Collaborate with firmware, hardware, and Storage OS engineering teams.
• Review system designs and project activities against development standards, improving quality and reducing failure risk.
• Drive the integration of new technologies and provide software systems leadership across projects.
• Mentor less-experienced engineers and provide domain expertise to cross-organization initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• 6–10 years of experience designing and implementing embedded systems for distributed storage.
• Extensive experience with C, Rust, and Python.
• Advanced knowledge of SAS and NVMe protocols.
• Experience with software systems architecture, Intel and AMD platforms, testing methodology, debugging, and test automation.
• Mastery of English and the local language; onsite work at an HPE office in the United States is required.
