Software Engineer (C/Rust)

Location: Hybrid, based at the downtown Seattle HQ with 3 days per week in-office; U.S. work authorization required

Salary: USD $110,000–$140,000 annual base salary, plus pre-IPO stock options and benefits.

What you will do

• Collaborate on system design, architecture, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Develop and test full-lifecycle features using C, Rust, and Python.
• Work across distributed storage components, including fault-tolerant block storage, transactional file systems, replication, backups, quotas, and access protocols.
• Define and implement customer-facing features and internal system improvements.
• Debug test failures and troubleshoot complex product or service issues in production environments.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or graduating within the next 9 months with a degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to write well-factored, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures, with academic or project experience in distributed systems, databases, concurrent programming, or operating systems.
• Proficiency in at least one of C, C++, Rust, Java, or Go through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
• Willingness to collaborate, solve complex problems, and learn quickly.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship or transfer is not available.
