Cloud Engineer Intern

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week from an HPE office in the United States. The requisition may be classified as on-desk or hybrid depending on location and role.

Salary: USD 35.00–46.00 per hour, depending on the applicable US location, including Colorado, Massachusetts, California, Minnesota, North Carolina, Texas, and Wisconsin. The range reflects base salary; variable incentives may also be offered.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and implement cloud solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Assist with deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure, platforms, and services.
• Optimize and automate cloud deployment processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Test and troubleshoot cloud systems for reliability, performance, and security.
• Support cloud operations and provide technical assistance.
• Monitor industry trends and recommend improvements in cloud computing practices.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, software development, or a related IT field.
• Knowledge of at least one programming language, such as C, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Understanding of software systems designed to run across multiple platform types.
• Basic knowledge of object-oriented programming, MVC patterns, SQL or NoSQL databases, GNU/Linux, IPC, process scheduling, and TCP/IP networking.
• Some exposure to full-stack Java development, Java frameworks, application servers, SOAP or REST web services, Angular, Node, React, and Git.
