Field Transportation Specialist

Location: In-office in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; visits to linehaul and station locations are required.

What you will do

• Oversee transportation process improvements, system enhancements, and administrative procedures across field transportation and station operations.
• Monitor linehaul and pickup performance and recommend changes to improve network efficiency.
• Analyze van and trailer pickup requests, reduce empty and partial trailer movements, and identify opportunities to improve pickup activation and account performance.
• Coordinate logistical planning with Transportation Compliance and Analytics, LH Planning, Linehaul Engineering, and external customers.
• Provide onboarding, targeted, and ongoing training on transportation processes, procedures, system tools, and customer or service-provider interactions.
• Resolve escalated issues, facilitate regional and district quality initiatives, and support the implementation of transportation program enhancements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of professional experience in linehaul operations, CPC, logistics, transportation, or a related area.
• Knowledge of field operations concepts, practices, policies, terms, and procedures.
• Microsoft Office and web-based application skills, along with strong customer service, presentation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• For candidates residing in Quebec, bilingual French and English proficiency is required.
• A valid driver's license and a driving record with no more than two violations or accidents in the previous 24 months may be required for positions where driving is a core competency.
