Site/Civil Engineering Intern

Location: Houston, TX, United States; in-office position. Remote work may be available when needed, but regular office attendance is expected.

What you will do

• Support civil engineering scopes covering earthworks, roads, buried services, utilities, and stormwater drainage.
• Prepare detailed designs, drawings, reports, and project documentation from specifications.
• Coordinate drainage and utility designs with technicians, engineers, and internal stakeholders.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data for project planning and design.
• Support senior engineers and designers while contributing to project meetings, problem-solving, and quality outcomes.
• Follow safety standards and regulations during project execution.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Understanding of roads, earthworks, water management, drainage, and interdisciplinary engineering requirements.
• Familiarity with 3D modeling and 2D drafting; training will be provided in Civil 3D applications.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit, plus basic project management knowledge.
• Applicants must submit an official or unofficial academic transcript.

Nice to have

• Engineering in Training certification or the ability to obtain it within six months.
• Strong critical and creative thinking, problem-solving, organization, communication, and collaboration skills.
