Senior Financial Analyst (Energy)

Location: Onsite in Baltimore, Maryland, United States

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year plus a 15% bonus target

What you will do

• Lead month-end close activities for assigned business units, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis of financial results.
• Develop regional budgets and rolling forecasts while identifying financial risks and opportunities.
• Manage CAPEX budgets and identify working capital improvements.
• Support operations by translating financial data into guidance on safety, system reliability, and financial performance.
• Resolve complex customer utility-billing discrepancies and disputes.
• Create customized financial reports and support account management and business development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of financial analysis or accounting experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including complex formulas and high-volume workbooks.
• Knowledge of debits, credits, revenue recognition, and balance sheet mechanics.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to complete multiple time-sensitive tasks independently and pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Nice to have

• CPA certification or willingness to obtain it.
• Experience in technical services or engineering.
