Assistant Store Manager of Logistics (Retail)

Location: Wilmette, Illinois, United States; onsite physical retail store

Salary: $57,273–$63,636.50 annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead store operations across sales performance, asset protection, safety compliance, customer engagement, and keyholder duties.
• Coach, motivate, and develop teams of 10–30+ employees while supporting hirify.global People Principles.
• Coordinate inventory tracking, shipments, quality checks, returns, exceptions, furniture assembly, and reverse logistics.
• Use sales trends and operational data to solve problems, improve performance, and support business growth.
• Oversee inventory organization, pricing accuracy, audits, visual merchandising, and brand presentation.
• Cross-train across sales and back-of-house functions and support customers and store operations during peak periods.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience leading teams of 10–30 or more people.
• At least 2 years of experience motivating high-performing teams, preferably in visual merchandising, brand presentation, store leadership, management, or training.
• At least 3 years of retail experience, ideally in home goods, furnishings, or interior design.
• Experience with shipments, quality checks, inventory organization, returns and exceptions, furniture assembly, reverse logistics, pricing verification, and audits.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift or move up to 50 pounds independently on a regular basis.
