Senior Buyer & Strategic Sourcing Specialist

hirify.global develops hardware and technology solutions and is scaling its procurement and supply chain operations.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end purchasing for hardware, components, materials, and operational needs from requisition through delivery.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate with, and manage suppliers, including RFPs, RFQs, contract manufacturing, pricing, lead times, payment terms, and minimum order quantities.
• Partner with Engineering, Hardware, Manufacturing, Production, Program, and Finance teams on BOMs, production schedules, engineering changes, budgets, and material requirements.
• Identify supply constraints, long-lead items, component obsolescence, DMSMS risks, inventory requirements, and supplier performance issues.
• Manage supplier qualification, Approved Supplier List maintenance, documentation, corrective actions, receiving records, and supplier quality requirements.
• Improve procurement workflows, reporting, data accuracy, and scalable operating processes while supporting production hardware shipments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or a related function.
• Experience purchasing technical components, electronics, hardware, or manufactured goods.
• Strong supplier management, commercial negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with BOMs, purchase orders, inventory, and ERP, MRP, or procurement systems.
• Ability to understand technical requirements and work cross-functionally with Engineering and Production teams.
• Ability to regularly work from hirify.global's headquarters in Rosslyn, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense technology, government contracting, manufacturing, or another regulated industry.
• Experience with NetSuite, Jira, RFPs, RFQs, supplier bidding, and commercial proposal evaluation.
• Experience sourcing electronic components, PCBAs, mechanical components, or contract manufacturing.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, AS9100 supplier quality, supplier audits, DMSMS, or component obsolescence.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
