Accounting Solutions Engineer, Corporate (AI Automation)

Location: Hybrid in Boston, Massachusetts; applicants must live within commuting distance and work in the office 3–4 days per week. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Base salary: $102,000–$126,900 per year, depending on geographic location, qualifications, and experience.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-assisted and automated workflows for consolidations, technical accounting, close, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Redesign repetitive accounting processes using AI tools, Google Apps Script, Python, VBA, and financial systems integrations.
• Build scalable workpapers, dashboards, exception reports, validation checks, and preliminary variance commentary tools.
• Own complex technical accounting areas, including lease accounting, software capitalization, compensation, foreign exchange revaluations, and intercompany eliminations.
• Establish risk-based review policies for reconciliations and journal entries while retaining approval authority for higher-risk areas.
• Partner with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Finance Systems, Data, IT, and external auditors to deliver controlled, SOX-compliant solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and corporate industry roles; CPA certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 842, ASC 350-40, consolidations, and multi-entity intercompany structures.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Microsoft Copilot; scripting; BI and automation platforms; enterprise ERPs such as SAP; and consolidation software.
• Ability to translate technical accounting requirements into process, data, and system designs and to build scalable, controlled, repeatable solutions.
• US work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
