Accounting Manager, Accounts Receivable (AI Automation)

Location: Austin, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Portland, Oregon; or Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Candidates in other locations may also be considered.

Salary: $108,800–$149,600 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the global accounts receivable month-end close, including subledger-to-GL reconciliations, roll-forwards, revenue adjustments, accruals, and management reporting.
• Manage Allowance for Doubtful Accounts and Current Expected Credit Loss models, provision recommendations, write-offs, and audit trails.
• Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities using Databricks, LLMs, and advanced analytics across AR accounting workflows.
• Maintain subledger integrity, perform flux and variance analyses, and provide insights into AR trends and balance sheet drivers.
• Prepare audit-ready workpapers and support internal and external auditors, including walkthroughs and request responses.
• Partner with Billing Operations, Revenue, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, Transformation, Engineering, and IT teams on process alignment and SAP implementation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive accounts receivable and general ledger accounting experience in a mid-to-large organization.
• CPA required; bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong U.S. GAAP judgment covering receivables, revenue alignment, accrual cut-off, contract assets and liabilities, and expected credit losses.
• Experience producing reviewer-ready workpapers independently within a preparer/reviewer/approver framework.
• Hands-on ERP experience with SAP, NetSuite, or a similar system, including subledger and GL data validation.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query and dynamic arrays, plus experience evaluating or deploying AI tools in finance.

• Experience supporting accounting workstreams for acquisitions and integrations.
• Familiarity with Databricks and high-growth technology or SaaS companies.
• Experience with recurring or usage-based billing and a public accounting background.
