Reconciliation Associate (Finance)

What you will do

• Compare investment portfolio data from external sources with data in the reconciliation system.
• Review and update reporting data to meet daily deadlines.
• Investigate reconciliation issues, solve problems, and involve mentors or department experts when needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with data providers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Communicate inquiries and provide timely updates on relevant issues.
• Provide feedback to product teams on internal projects and maintain familiarity with internal tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a finance-related or analytical field.
• 1+ year of directly applicable experience in reconciliation, accounting, or finance.
• Basic understanding of investment, financial, and accounting concepts, including standard security types.
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills preferred, including VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables, and VBA.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• Finance or accounting experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP and/or IFRS.
• Experience with securities or financial markets.
