Associate, New Product Planning (Fintech)

Location: Fort Lee, New Jersey, United States; hybrid and onsite work arrangement.

Salary: $80,000–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Partner with Finance and Product to identify and document downstream Finance requirements before new products are built.
• Maintain the new product checklist and create detailed requirements documentation for each initiative.
• Map product flows through accounting systems, general ledger mapping, tax treatment, liquidity, managerial accounting, and profitability reporting.
• Analyze flow of funds and accounting entries across the product lifecycle, identifying reconciliation, monitoring, and control needs.
• Lead integration calls, track action items and dependencies, escalate risks, and report status to leadership.
• Standardize templates, workflows, trackers, and documentation practices for cross-functional working groups.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in product operations, project coordination, business analysis, accounting, or a similar cross-functional role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of debits and credits, general ledger structure, and journal entries.
• Strong organizational, documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently, move initiatives forward, and escalate risks appropriately.
• Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, banking, fintech, payments, lending, or embedded finance.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with Workday Financials or a comparable ERP, including implementation or integration work.
• Experience with process and flow diagramming tools such as Lucidchart or Visio, or basic SQL.
