Treasury Associate (Fintech)

Salary: $93,500–$120,000 in New York and San Francisco; $74,800–$88,000 in Sandy, Utah

What you will do

• Handle daily payment exceptions, transaction failures, and funding issues with cross-functional business and support teams.
• Review and approve outgoing payment batches and manage specialized disbursements, reconciliations, and corporate bank accounts.
• Administer banking portal access, fraud controls, transaction exceptions, and responses to banking compliance inquiries.
• Maintain banking data and monitor credit limits to support credit risk management and underwriting.
• Collect and archive bank statements, export transactions, and conduct pricing and fee audits.
• Execute intercompany liquidity transfers and configure systems for new markets and banking partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, including 2+ years in treasury operations, banking operations, or payment processing.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and baseline proficiency with data-querying tools such as Looker or Metabase.
• Knowledge of ACH, wire and foreign-exchange transfers, reconciliations, payment rules, NACHA guidelines, OFAC regulations, and bank portal administration.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently under general guidelines.
• Experience creating standard operating procedures, reconciliations, and process flow mappings.
• Ability to collaborate with Support, Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and banking partners.

Nice to have

• Passion for using modern AI tools such as Claude or Gemini to automate manual tasks and improve processes.
