Associate Director, IT Portfolio Manager

Location: Hybrid position based in Deerfield, Illinois, with a required minimum number of onsite days each week. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $168,000–$231,000 base salary annually, plus eligibility for discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead project intake, portfolio governance, prioritization, planning, and delivery for the Supply Chain technology portfolio.
• Evaluate new initiatives and develop business cases aligned with strategic objectives, resource capacity, and funding constraints.
• Manage portfolio budgeting, forecasting, investment planning, spend tracking, and variance management.
• Provide end-to-end accountability for project and program scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and value realization.
• Lead, coach, and develop Project Managers and Program Managers in a complex matrixed environment.
• Prepare executive portfolio reporting and partner with Finance, business stakeholders, and the PMO Center of Excellence to improve governance and delivery practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in IT portfolio management, program management, and project management leadership.
• Experience partnering with senior business and IT leaders on prioritization, investment decisions, and strategic planning.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, investment governance, and portfolio performance management skills.
• Experience leading Project Managers and Program Managers and delivering technology initiatives for manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or other operational functions.
• Strong communication, executive presentation, stakeholder management, and data-driven decision-making skills, including experience with employer-sanctioned AI tools.
