Infrastructure Automation Engineer Intern (AI)

Location: Onsite in the Kansas City, Missouri office. The program runs from June 2 to August 6 for 10 weeks, with a Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. schedule. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy automation scripts and tools for infrastructure operations.
• Identify repetitive tasks and collaborate on scalable, maintainable automation solutions.
• Support monitoring and alerting systems to improve infrastructure health visibility.
• Participate in projects involving cloud services, virtualization, networking, and server management.
• Document processes, automation workflows, and technical configurations.
• Apply IT operations, security, and change-management best practices while exploring enterprise AI applications.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled undergraduate rising senior in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, graduating between December 2027 and spring 2028.
• Basic understanding of servers, networks, virtualization, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and APIs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and learning skills.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
