Senior/Lead Forward Deployed AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable AI solutions for clients across industries and BCG regions.
• Apply software development practices throughout the full software development life cycle.
• Optimize algorithms and software architecture for computational efficiency.
• Guide non-technical teams and consultants on robust software development practices.
• Collaborate directly with clients and engineering teams on new product features and solution ideas.
• Develop thought leadership, scientific papers, and conference content on behalf of BCG X.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in software development, with consulting experience or strong leadership experience.
• Experience working with global and remote agile squads.
• Proficiency in Python, C++, or Scala.
• Knowledge of relational, non-relational, and streaming data structures, as well as parallel computing.
• Experience with large language models and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience building generative AI tools.
• Full-stack development with GraphQL, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• DevOps experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Data technologies including SQL, Spark, and Hadoop.
• Data science and machine learning with Pandas and Scikit-learn.
