Senior AI Technical Lead

Location: Hybrid in McLean, Virginia, United States. Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI and machine learning models and systems.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions across multiple federal missions.
• Oversee AI/ML architecture, experimentation, lifecycle management, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with DevOps, data engineering, and cybersecurity teams to integrate AI into production environments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and conduct code and design reviews.
• Research emerging AI/ML tools, technologies, and frameworks while ensuring compliance with federal security and cloud architecture standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in AI, machine learning, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing AI/ML solutions and leading AI/ML initiatives or technical teams.
• Experience with agentic AI, including Transformers, Model Context Protocol, Agent2Agent Protocol, and LangGraph.
• Proficiency in Python and TypeScript; experience deploying AI solutions in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps principles, Agile methodologies, Git, and Jira.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a DoD Secret clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Data engineering, data modeling, and data visualization experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity, Zero Trust Architecture, RMF, and FedRAMP compliance.
• Experience with federal or public-sector digital modernization projects.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, ITIL, or service-oriented architecture frameworks.
