Associate Digital Platform Producer, MS NOW Digital

Location: Washington, D.C. or New York, NY; weekend afternoon and evening shift, either Wednesday–Sunday or Friday–Tuesday

Salary: $75,000–$80,000 per year

What you will do

• Create and curate content across MS NOW linear, digital, streaming, and direct-to-consumer platforms.
• Write accurate, engaging headlines and produce breaking news, opinion alerts, and the MS NOW Daily newsletter.
• Program the MS NOW homepage and app with timely content.
• Distribute stories through Apple News, SmartNews, Flipboard, and other partner platforms.
• Run A/B tests on headlines and story packaging and monitor analytics to guide programming decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of production or editorial experience.
• Knowledge of current events, U.S. politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and history.
• Strong journalistic judgment, organization, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail.
• Experience in digital publishing, preferably with a news organization, and knowledge of platform-specific content performance.
• Must be willing to work in Washington, D.C. or New York, NY and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
