Experienced Project Engineer (Food Processing)

Location: Cholet, France; permanent full-time position based in Cholet. The role includes approximately 20% travel and is not open to relocation from another country.

What you will do

• Gather engineering data from project kick-off and coordinate project activities.
• Monitor P&ID updates and 3D layouts.
• Write technical specifications, prepare requests for quotation, and raise purchase requisitions.
• Review equipment and activity budgets and monitor supplier deliveries to the platform and customer.
• Prepare site installation documentation and support on-site activities.
• Maintain project documentation, provide progress updates, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and technical standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar project engineering role, preferably in an international environment.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, equipment, and processes, preferably in the food or powder industry.
• Knowledge of CAD environments; SAP experience is preferred.
• Understanding of food safety requirements, hygienic design principles, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Strong English communication skills required; French is a strong advantage. Analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and independent working skills are expected.
