Structural Engineer (Pharma/Life Sciences)

What you will do

• Lead civil and structural design activities from conceptual and front-end design through detailed design for industrial projects.
• Prepare technical documents and civil and structural deliverables, including foundations, drainage, site plans, demolition drawings, utilities, grading, building structures, secondary steelwork, and pipe racks.
• Coordinate activities with internal disciplines, project teams, clients, contractors, vendors, and other external parties.
• Prepare vendor bid documents, perform technical bid analysis, and review vendor deliverables.
• Provide site support for construction, installation, commissioning, modification, and qualification.
• Plan multiple tasks, deliver work within budgeted hours, and manage design personnel as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with a design house or engineering company.
• Good knowledge of Dutch and/or French, plus English.
• Experience with civil engineering and design software such as Tekla, Tekla TEDDS, Robot, STAAD.Pro, PDS, AutoTrack, AutoCAD, or Revit.
• Knowledge of BIM collaboration and coordination tools.
• Proactive approach, adaptability, and ability to coordinate multiple project activities.

Nice to have

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, food, or nutritional industries.
• Site, construction, or operational experience.
