Senior Frontend/Fullstack Software Engineer, Sharing (React)

Location: San Mateo, California, United States; onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional office presence Monday and Friday

Salary: $243,290–$295,250 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Design and build high-performance content creation, sharing, and consumption experiences for Roblox Moments.
• Own projects from architecture and design through launch, iteration, and measurable impact on engagement and content quality.
• Collaborate with product, safety, infrastructure, and engineering teams on scalable solutions and technical best practices.
• Improve performance, testing, and experimentation workflows.
• Maintain high standards for technical quality and user experience while rapidly iterating on features.
• Mentor peers and contribute to team processes and collaboration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production frontend or client applications and complex user interfaces.
• Deep hands-on experience with React, including hooks, component composition, render performance, and state management with Redux or comparable patterns.
• Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript, rendering, layout, and web or client fundamentals.
• Experience integrating backend services through REST or GraphQL and designing resilient client data flows.
• Curiosity about working with multiple languages and runtimes, with willingness to learn Luau.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
