Data Scientist II

Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of 2 days per week working from an HPE office.

What you will do

• Define analytical objectives, business rules, solution objectives, and available data elements.
• Develop and maintain metadata, prepare data for exploratory analysis, and create hypothesis matrices.
• Build, validate, enhance, and maintain statistical and machine learning models.
• Research and deliver data science solutions for business problem domains, including supply chain use cases.
• Measure business performance based on deployed models and create visualizations for clear consumption of insights.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or an equivalent field; alternatively, a bachelor’s degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of regression, neural networks, CHAID, CART, association rules, sequence analysis, cluster analysis, and text mining.
• Understanding of supply chain requirements and the ability to translate them into mathematical models.
• Proficiency with analytics and data programming tools including R, Python, SAS, and SQL.
• Experience with Docker, GitHub, coding IDE platforms, and data visualization using Tableau or Python.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including collaboration across geographical boundaries.
