Data Scientist, Senior (AI)

Location: Remote role associated with Lexington Park, Maryland, USA; occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.

Salary: $99,000–$225,000 annualized USD

What you will do

• Analyze structured and unstructured data in support of Navy mission solutions.
• Work with customers to understand analytical questions and data needs.
• Develop algorithms, scripts, predictive analytics, and machine learning solutions.
• Apply statistical software, programming languages, and data science frameworks to produce objective insights.
• Explain data findings and their practical use to military leaders and customers.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience analyzing data.
• 8+ years of experience using statistical software, including SAS or R.
• 5+ years of experience developing data science solutions with Python, R, C, or Java.
• Knowledge of data engineering practices, including ETL or ELT.
• Secret clearance is required, with eligibility for access to classified information.
• Bachelor’s degree.

Nice to have

• Experience developing statistical and simulation models.
• Experience with natural language processing, including tagging, parsing, topic modeling, contextual text mining, and deep learning.
• Experience designing experimental and analytic plans and determining causal relationships.
• Master’s degree in data science, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, statistics, physics, computer networks, or operations research.
