Data Scientist (Generative AI)

Location: Morton, Illinois, United States; 100% onsite five days a week with no hybrid or remote option. Up to 10% domestic travel is required.

Salary: $97,530–$158,480 per year.

What you will do

• Own, maintain, and improve production processes and analytical solutions for aftermarket parts inventory planning.
• Monitor and optimize production programs to improve efficiency, reliability, and performance.
• Develop and maintain analytical processes using SAS, Python, Dataiku, SQL, and simulation technologies.
• Create and enhance Power BI reports, dashboards, visualizations, and decision-support tools.
• Perform inventory analysis, predictive modeling, simulations, advanced analytics, and ad hoc research.
• Support data architecture, process improvement, technical development projects, and evaluation of generative AI opportunities.

Requirements

• Knowledge of business statistics, analytical methods, machine learning, programming, database access, and requirements analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, data analytics, data science, information systems, computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL for data management, analysis, and reporting.
• Experience developing solutions with Python and creating Power BI reports and data visualizations.
• Must work onsite in Morton, Illinois, five days per week; relocation is not offered and visa sponsorship is unavailable.

• Experience with forecasting, demand planning, inventory planning, or related analytical work.
• Experience evaluating, testing, or developing generative AI solutions.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data science methodologies.
• Experience translating complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations.
