Medical Lab Technologist

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; the position is performed in a laboratory environment.

Pay range: $34.25–$52.14 per hour, plus a second-shift differential.

What you will do

• Assess specimen acceptability and assist with specimen processing.
• Perform routine and complex technical testing according to standard operating procedures.
• Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation.
• Make technical decisions, investigate problems, and evaluate new reagents and controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance, quality control, supply replenishment, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life science or medical technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification.
• High attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Ability to work independently and within a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; flexibility to work overtime as needed.
