Electrical Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Design electrical components and subsystems for thermal battery and power dispatch applications.
• Create schematics, PCB layouts, and technical specifications using guidance from senior engineers and system architects.
• Perform electrical analysis, simulation, validation testing, and troubleshooting during prototype builds and field deployments.
• Contribute to power electronics, control circuits, instrumentation, protection systems, and grid interconnection designs.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, controls, and systems engineering teams to integrate electrical designs.
• Evaluate components and vendors, document technical findings, and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience, ideally involving power systems or power electronics.
• Working knowledge of power electronics, circuit design, and control systems.
• Proficiency with electrical design tools such as Altium, EAGLE, KiCad, or similar, and familiarity with SPICE, MATLAB, or similar simulation tools.
• Understanding of NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEE standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical documentation, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with high-voltage or high-power electrical systems.
• Exposure to renewable energy applications such as solar inverters, BMS, or grid interconnection.
• Hands-on prototype and field-testing experience.
