Network Engineer III (Remote)

Location: Remote within the United States; U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses and equity grants

Cybersecurity company operating an AI-native platform that processes large-scale distributed security data and protects organizations from breaches.

What you will do

• Build and operate multi-vendor, multi-region hybrid cloud networks at scale.
• Deploy and manage data center network infrastructure throughout its lifecycle.
• Improve network deployment quality and velocity through code, testing, validation, and automation.
• Integrate network automation into capacity deployment workflows with internal teams.
• Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve network visibility.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and maintain production network reliability.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
• 7+ years of experience building and operating multi-vendor, multi-region production networks, including 4+ years focused primarily on network automation.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, Terraform, and NETCONF/YANG or gNMI/OpenConfig.
• Production-quality coding experience in Python or Go, with familiarity with Git workflows, code review, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with FedRAMP or other regulated environments and with public cloud connectivity across AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Expertise in routing and switching technologies including IPv6, MP-BGP, OSPF, ISIS, EVPN, VxLAN, QoS, IPSEC, and MACsec.

Nice to have

• Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.
• Experience working for hyperscalers or large cloud service providers.
• Experience deploying and maintaining whitebox switches and open-source network operating systems.
