Phlebotomist

Location: Summersville, West Virginia, United States; additional locations include Suwanee, Georgia; Mount Pleasant, South Carolina; Richmond, Virginia; Woodbridge, Virginia; Princeton, West Virginia; Weaverville, North Carolina; Asheville, North Carolina; and Easton, Maryland. Work is performed at a Patient Service Center or client office.

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other services.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Enter patient data accurately, process billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Certification or training used in place of experience must come from an accredited agency.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a record of exceptional customer service.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation, overtime flexibility, and ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
