Team Leader (Senior Key Expert) - Freelance

Location: Belgium Remote Office (BE99); the job is available in 3 locations.

What you will do

• Act as the main interlocutor for DG INTPA G2 in contract management.
• Ensure the quality of Policy Forum on Development consultations and deliverables.
• Coordinate and supervise Key Experts and Non-Key Experts.
• Advise on identifying and implementing activities and contribute to their development.
• Facilitate Policy Forum on Development meetings and ensure follow-up actions.
• Support dialogue and consultations with civil society networks, foundations, local authority associations, EU institutions, and Member States.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of professional experience in EU external policies.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in multistakeholder engagement in policy processes and dialogues with international organisations and/or state actors.
• At least 5 years of experience facilitating and moderating multi-stakeholder consultation activities.
• At least 3 years of experience drafting reports, policy papers, background documents, agendas, and concept notes.
• At least 2 assignments as team leader of international expert teams, covering at least 3 years in total.
• A university degree at Master or equivalent level in political science, international relations, international law, social sciences, economics, or another relevant discipline. A Bachelor degree or equivalent may replace the Master degree with 3 additional years of work experience beyond the 7-year general professional experience requirement.
• C1 level of English.
• C1 level of either French or Spanish.

Nice to have

• At least B2 level of the other language, French or Spanish.
• Experience managing projects involving consultations with civil society, local authorities, or foundations.
• Experience designing and conducting studies and analyses related to the project fields.
• Field experience in EU partner countries.
