Focus on evaluating patient eligibility, developing case report forms, coordinating with investigators and clinical staff, and maintaining accurate research and specimen records.

Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid work with 2–3 days onsite per week

Salary: $50,500–$56,700 per year

What you will do

  • Review and abstract medical records for patients enrolled in gastrointestinal oncology research trials.
  • Collect, enter, organize, and manage clinical data in research databases and Clinical Research Information Systems.
  • Monitor data quality, completeness, reporting timelines, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Support the development, testing, and implementation of case report forms for investigator-initiated trials.
  • Evaluate patient eligibility, support patient consenting when assigned, and monitor patient status.
  • Coordinate with principal investigators, physicians, Information Services, clinic staff, and external providers on data collection and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or one year of experience as a Dana-Farber Associate Research Data Specialist.
  • Experience of 0–1 years in a medical, scientific research, or technology-oriented business environment is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal, time-management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential patient information.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Patient contact is required, including contact with patients of all ages.
