Senior Consultant - Water Governance, Strategy & Policy (Environmental Policy)

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid working policy. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK or be eligible for sponsorship and must be physically located in the UK on Day 1 of employment or shortly before the start date.

What you will do

• Evaluate flood risk management and other water-related programmes.
• Develop governance models for water resource management.
• Appraise water-focused innovation programmes and investments in the water and flood resilience sector.
• Apply qualitative, quantitative, analytical, evaluation, economic, and data science methodologies.
• Manage projects, budgets, research teams, and client-facing delivery.
• Contribute to business development, proposals, and grant applications.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Demonstrable experience or interest in UK environmental policy, especially water resources, floods, or water quality.
• Strong qualitative, quantitative, and analytical skills, including experience in evaluation, economic analysis, appraisal, impact assessment, data science, or environmental economics.
• Good understanding of the UK policy-making process; UK Government assignment experience is advantageous.
• Degree, master’s degree, or PhD in a relevant discipline.
• Legal right to work in the UK or eligibility for sponsorship, with physical presence in the UK on Day 1.

Nice to have

• Prior consulting experience.
• Experience in academia, government, or non-governmental organisations.
