Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer (Data Centers)

Location: USA-wide, United States; 25% travel anticipated

Base salary: $155,000–$185,000 USD per year, plus potential bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Support technical due diligence for new and existing third-party data center facilities.
• Review site evaluations and detailed design documentation for technical compliance and accuracy.
• Coordinate mechanical design documentation and support reliability, availability, and maintainability analysis.
• Work with cross-disciplinary collaborators to plan objectives, schedules, dependencies, and success criteria.
• Interact with clients and support senior engineers with documentation for presentations and contracts.
• Answer operational documentation questions and improve program engineering standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 8–10 years of relevant experience; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Strong understanding of large-scale, complex data center infrastructure and commercial real estate operations.
• Experience working with structural, civil, IT/telecom, security, mechanical, electrical, and architectural teams.
• Experience with data center projects inside and outside the United States.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, and innovative thinking skills.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace products.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or equivalent tools.
• Licensed Professional Engineer certification.
