Phlebotomist Float

Location: Onsite role based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with float coverage across locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, and Virginia

What you will do

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other analyses.
• Prepare specimens for testing and maintain accurate patient and specimen logs.
• Enter patient data, process billing information, and collect payments when required.
• Provide customer service and complete related administrative and clerical duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, completion of an accredited training program, or at least three months of phlebotomy experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently or in a team.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test and be at least 21 years old.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, overtime, and occasional Saturdays.

Nice to have

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience.
• Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills.

Culture & Benefits

• Monday–Friday schedule with hours varying between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., plus occasional Saturdays.
• Float assignment across multiple clinics and locations, providing varied patient and team experience.
• Additional $1.00 per hour and mileage reimbursement for float work.
