Mobile Phlebotomist, PRN

Location: DeWitt, Iowa; local employer health screening events

Salary: $27–$32 per hour

What you will do

• Perform and record biometric measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI.
• Collect blood samples through fingersticks and venipuncture in a fast-paced environment.
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing and maintain laboratory transaction records.
• Set up and break down portable blood draw and biometric screening stations.
• Transport screening supplies to and from events, including items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Bilingual Spanish communication ability is required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current national phlebotomy certification from an approved organization, an accredited phlebotomy program with a completed hands-on externship, or the required recent blood-draw experience.
• Morning availability Monday through Friday is required for event-based work.
• Customer service, communication, computer, organizational, and independent-work skills.
• Reliable transportation, ability to pass a background check, and ability to lift up to 20 pounds.

Nice to have

• One year of health screening or phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
