Mobile Phlebotomist, PRN

Location: Bakersfield, California; mobile work at local company sites

Salary: $28.00–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Perform and record biometric measurements, including height, weight, blood pressure, body fat, and BMI.
• Collect blood samples through fingersticks and venipuncture in a fast-paced setting.
• Prepare specimens for storage or additional processing and maintain laboratory transaction records.
• Set up and break down portable blood draw and biometric screening stations.
• Transport screening supplies to and from events, including loads of up to 20 pounds.
• Provide professional customer service while working independently at scheduled events.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current national phlebotomy certification from an approved organization, an accredited phlebotomy program certificate with completed hands-on externship, or qualifying recent fingerstick or venipuncture experience.
• Active state-specific phlebotomy certification is required for candidates performing phlebotomy in California.
• Strong customer service, communication, attention to detail, and computer skills.
• Monday–Friday morning availability is required for PRN, event-based work.
• Reliable transportation, ability to pass a full background check, and ability to work safely with limited supervision.

Nice to have

• At least one year of health screening or phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations.
