What you will do

• Design, conduct, and troubleshoot hypothesis-generating screens and hypothesis-driven experiments with scientific independence.
• Identify biomarkers of tumor burden, tumor biology, and immune state in multiple myeloma and precursor conditions including MGUS and SMM.
• Apply single-cell, spatial, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, flow-sorting, and immunohistochemistry methods to human tissues and samples.
• Analyze and interpret complex experimental datasets, using computational approaches and collaborating with computational biologists.
• Present research findings, contribute to grants and manuscripts, and prepare figures and supporting data.
• Mentor research technicians, undergraduate students, and junior laboratory members.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in a biology-related field or M.D. with at least 2–3 years of laboratory experience.
• Strong background in cancer biology and/or immunology, preferably involving the hematopoietic system.
• Technical proficiency in relevant single-cell, spatial, genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, or FACS-sorting technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience analyzing biological datasets computationally or collaborating effectively with computational scientists.
• Strong scientific, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with flexibility to accommodate experimental scheduling.
• Work is based in Boston, Massachusetts, with onsite attendance and occasional remote work.
