What you will do

• Investigate how SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling complexes regulate chromatin, transcriptional control, and lineage specification.
• Study how mutations in SWI/SNF subunits contribute to cancer formation.
• Identify vulnerabilities associated with SWI/SNF mutations and explore novel therapeutic opportunities.
• Conduct high-level research within the Division of Molecular Oncology using molecular, genetic, epigenetic, and cellular biology approaches.
• Develop scientific thinking, grant writing, manuscript writing, and presentation skills while pursuing independent research ideas.

Requirements

• Recently earned or expected Ph.D.
• Publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
• Strong background in molecular biology, genetics or epigenetics, cell biology, and/or cancer biology.
• Ability to perform research in an onsite laboratory environment in Memphis, Tennessee.
